Who Are We - Cosro .
CoSRO is a non-government, non-profit, charitable organization, which was established in 2006 to help some of the most vulnerable and needy people. CoSRO is committed to the alleviation of all forms of poverty and derivation in all parts of the country. The success and progress in the short time since its inception would not have been possible with- out the sincere efforts of our office bearer: Mrs.Veena Arora ( Director ).
Currently the organization is commissioning or running a number of poverty alleviation projects; although many schemes are designed to help whole communities and to improve ones lifestyle.
Brief of our activities are as following : -
Health Care Intervention
The significance of healthcare as a contributing factor towards a better and more progressive society can not be overlooked. In pursuance of providing quality medical care to the underprivileged in rural and urban areas. CoSRO is conducting health camps in different slums of NCR covering areas of Santosh nagar , Harikesh Nagar , Dheeraj Nagar , Subhash Nagar, Mazdoor Baslwa colony and Vishvas Nagar in faridabad. COSRO want to extend to other areas. EDUCATION
In formal education centres reaching out to about 250 children were initiated to provide need –based education. These children comprises mostly of out of school children who were dropouts and were prepared for mainstreaming. These children were also provided with exposure to sports and yoga. At the end of the academic year, around 35% children were mains to various govt. and pvt. schools.
Yoga Promotion
In our Yoga promotion programme COSRO yoga instructor with the support of other staff members conducts Yoga camp in different institutions. So far more then 15 camps have been conducted by CoSRO team in NCR, slums and in different communities.
Community Outreach Activities
COSRO mobilize the community members at their doorsteps, educating them on health program and availability of health facilities at medical camps. The areas of intervention are Hygiene and Sanitation, Family Planning, HIV / AIDS, Career Counseling etc.
Our Aims
Our main Aim is to improve the quality of life of the marginalized people. The level of our success is dependent on our ability to create awareness about the inherent strength we all have for making a concerted effort to build a more equitable society where equal opportunities could be provided to all for living with dignity. Many hurdles have to be crossed to achieve our aims. The despair of the underprivileged has to be replaced with hope, their fear with security, and their ignorance with knowledge. We are an effective link between the people in need and those who have the ability and resources to help them.
Our Objectives
Through our NGO we want to create awareness for our people in areas which are vital for the future of the nation, namely good governance and effective administration, how to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor by creating opportunities for the latter to empower themselves. 60 years since independence and still common man suffring from day to day problems. COSRO moots following aspects where we have to work hard to make INDIA a better country
- Ethical plitics.
- Preservation of national integration.
- Uniform and Free Education for rich and poor under one roof.
- Free healthcare facilities to all.
- Strengthening research and development base for life standards of poor.
- Check on excessive consumption.
- Encourage the practice of yoga and naturopathy.
